General description

Recombinant protein fragment of Human ADGB with N-terminal His6ABP (ABP = Albumin Binding Protein derived from Streptococcal Protein G) fusion tag. Androglobins (ADGB) are globin family of proteins, which are primarily expressed in testis. The ADGB gene is mapped to human chromosome 6q24.3 and contains 36 exons. ADGB have chimeric domain structure with a N-terminal calpain-like cysteine protease domain, succeeded by globin domain and an uncharacterized C-terminal domain. Their expression in spermatozoa is correlated to fertility.
